Senior Companion volunteers were honored Monday at the annual recognition banquet at the Island Resort in Bark River. Here are some photos from the event. 
Dorothy Sahn, Escanaba, received the Community Action Agency Senior Companion Volunteer of the Year award Monday at the annual recognition banquet at the Island Resort in Bark River. Dorothy has served with the program for 16 years. The award is named in honor of the deceased Community Action Agency Governing Board member Gil Sablack, Manistique. Gil was a strong advocate of the Senior Companion Program. From left, Senior Companion Director Connie Maule, Dorothy, Gil Sablack’s widow Rosemary and Senior Companion Supervisor Linda Paulin.
