Walk for Warmth 2010 Photos
Once again residents of Delta and Menominee counties turned out in an incredibly huge way Saturday, Feb. 27, as part of Walk for Warmth to help their neighbors facing a heating crisis. Just under 150 walkers took part in Escanaba, collecting nearly $12,000 on the day of the walk. Added to other donations already received brings the total to just over $30,000 so far. Donations are accepted throughout the year for anyone who may still wish to donate. "We are continually amazed by the outpouring of support from businesses, individuals and services organizations, especially since there are many very worthwhile causes," said Cathy Pearson, CAA executive assistant. She noted it’s always terrific to see the large number of youth who come out and walk every year. Below are some photos from the Feb. 27 event in Escanaba.
