RSVP Wins Best Chili

CAA Retired and Senior Volunteer Program won the title of best chili in the Judges' Choice restaurant category in the United Way of Delta County’s 22nd annual Soup’r Chili Challenge Tuesday night at the U.P. State Fairgrounds in Escanaba. Posting with their trophy are RSVP Director Sarah Cantrell, right, and RSVP Volunteer Coordinator Sarah Carlson. Cantrell said the victory was made possible by the help of its volunteers and the lots of beef. "We had 60 pounds of beef in the chili," she said. The name of the RSVP's winning entry was "Boil and Bubble Away Your Troubles Chili." This name was selected to fit with the theme of this year's Soup'r Chili Challenge, which was Halloween.
